In May 2019, Huawei was added to a group of Chinese companies the U.S. government restricted from accessing American technology, citing security concerns. As a result of this action, new Huawei phones no longer support Google applications, including the Google Play Store. (CoPilot GPS was distributed to older Huawei devices via the Play Store.)

Huawei’s new generation of phones, including the Huawei P40 and Mate 30 series, can only download apps from Huawei’s owned app store called  “AppGallery.” At this time, there are no plans to add CoPilot GPS to AppGallery.

If you need to update or cancel an existing CoPilot subscription, such changes need to be made directly in Google Play. Trimble MAPS is not permitted to do this on your behalf. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this change in U.S. trade policy.
