It's good practice to periodically back up your account settings to safeguard your data, in case something happens to your CoPilot or device.
The Cloud Backup feature allows you to backup your Favourites, Recents, and Subscriptions over the Cloud with your CoPilot ID. If something ever happens to your CoPilot app, you can easily restore your data from backup to a new or existing device.
You'll first need to sign in with your CoPilot ID, then:
Tap My Account.
Under ACCOUNT SETTINGS, Select Cloud Backup to save your settings
Select Backup to Cloud to save your settings
Tap OK once your settings have been saved
Automatic Backups: Give you greater convenience, simplicity and peace of mind by backing up to the Cloud every time you launch CoPilot and you have an Internet connection. To Enable, select the Automatically Backup to Cloud tick box.
Recover your data: To restore your settings and subscriptions from Cloud backup, do the following:
You'll first need to sign in with your CoPilot ID
Tap My Account.
Under ACCOUNT SETTINGS, Select Cloud Backup
Select Restore from Cloud to restore your settings
Tap OK once your settings have been Restored
*Note: Please note that the Cloud Backup feature only works with the original platform it was saved with. For example switching from an Android phone that your Cloud backup was saved to, and moving to an Android tablet will prevent your Favourites and Recents to be transfer, while the subscription will be kept.
The process for backing up your data before reinstalling CoPilot is the same for "How do I perform a Cloud Backup & Restore?' for Android.
However, please note, It's not possible to make a local backup of your Favourites, Recents and Trips because as of right now, CoPilot for iOS does not have the ability to import trip, Favourites and Recents files. However, we are hoping to add this feature into a future version of CoPilot as it's highly requested by our community.
