I can 'OK Google' almost anything now. If I ask Google to navigate me somewhere it used Google maps.
You need to fight against this otherwise convenience will win. Not sure if you can add a plug-in to Google, or just have your own homescreen button that will listen for a destination.
It needs to be good though. OK Google is so intuitive, it just knows what I mean. They have way more data than you do, so a big ask...
