Starting with Version 10.9, Road Preferences have been removed from Vehicle Routing Profiles in CoPilot. Road Preferences allowed you to select certain types of roads to avoid or favor in routing and to set universal speeds for various road classes. These settings were used to calculate directions and the estimated time of arrival (ETA) for a route.

Following some substantial enhancements in our route calculation algorithm, CoPilot is now more heavily weighted toward using live traffic and historical speed data when calculating the best route. As a result, Road Preferences no longer had a significant impact on routing and were removed. (You can still choose to avoid specific roads on the map.)

CoPilot will always calculate the shortest or quickest route to your destination. We expect this change will only improve the routes that CoPilot generates.
